Likt vinbär, rönnbär, plommon, krikon, fläder, ros och körsbär kan äpple kan även skördas där den växer på allmän mark, exempelvis i parker.
Användningsområden
Äpple kan användas till mycket, exempelvis mos, chutney, cider, vin, dessertpaj m.m.
Ta till vara på stora äppelskörder genom torkning. Kärna ur, skiva och hänga upp ett snöre. Torkade äpplen är ett utmärkt snacks.
Innehållsämnen
Innehåller mycket C-vitamin och en del andra antioxiderande fenolföreningar.
